I Survived My First Year

Some days are beyond overwhelming.  The possibilities are endless – the options as vast as the sea.  Where do you begin?  And most importantly, what’s right for you?

I don’t know that I have ever had to trust my instincts more when making decisions and be more goal oriented while simultaneously surrendering to the process.

Emergency Bridal Kit

There are many last minute things that will come up on a wedding day and you can’t be predict everything. But, having a fully stocked emergency bridal kit on hand can certainly help with little unexpected mishaps or for problem solving with setting up decor and so much more.

Here is a full list of the contents in our emergency kit:

A Guest Led Backyard Wedding

“What are the most important things to you about the wedding day?”

This is one of the first questions that I ask every couple at our initial consultation. For Julie-Anne, this question was answered without hesitation!

  1. Guests being well-fed and enjoying their time

  2. Her and Sean having lots of time together for photos

  3. To have time with their family

Every suggestion for the day of schedule or set up idea was made with these key priorities in mind.

Our Branding Photo Session

I have never done a branding photo session and I honestly didn’t even know that was a thing until I did one! What an amazing, fun experience.

Shortly after I started working on my branding with the wonderful team at Thoughtwell Creative Co. I had the idea to contact my photographer friend - Ashley. I wanted to get some photos that could fill my website and future social media pages and it was important that they were in line with the mood of my brand.

My project manager, Kayla, and good friend Celeste helped me come up with several ideas for different types of images that we could get from this shoot! I needed a diverse amount of pictures that could be used to fill the website, social media and for my full page ad in the Dote magazine Weddings Volume 3. We came up with a list of ideas for types of shots, props, attire and the overall concept for the whole photoshoot.

The Story of Fiore Fine Events

Where did the vision for Fiore Fine Events come from?  And why Fiore (Italian for flower) for an event company?

Years of family and friends telling me that I need to go into wedding and event planning finally brought me to the point that my passion was greater than my fears.  I took the plunge and signed up for QC events school just before I hopped on a plane to the Netherlands and Italy.

Social media really can be an amazing network platform, because a college friend saw my post about signing up for the program and referred me to his sister who was getting married at the end of that summer.  While sitting in a coffee shop in The Hague (Netherlands), I received a message from his sister, Julie-Anne, expressing interest in meeting with me to discuss the possibility of being her day-of wedding coordinator.
